Nathan Murthy

As Head of Engineering, Nathan leads Verse’s engineering organization and drives the delivery of high-performance, scalable software across the product suite. He oversees architecture, infrastructure, data engineering, and product development, ensuring the platform meets rigorous standards for forecasting accuracy, data quality, and reliability. Nathan has been working in software for over 15 years professionally and over a decade deep subject matter expertise on energy systems. Prior to joining Verse, Nathan spent 2 years building financial reporting tools for tens of millions of merchants at Stripe as a staff engineer and nearly 7 years at Tesla as a tech lead working on factory software, big data pipelines, and intelligent distributed energy systems. He also led the distributed controls team at SolarCity. Nathan brings expertise in commercial, industrial, and utility scale software from Wireless Glue Networks, Fujitsu Labs, and the Banatao Institute. He earned his degree in Applied Mathematics from UC Berkeley.
